And yes my parents lived through horrible events in history and didn't like talking about the past...and the bad times.,I think they had hope for their children grandchildren and great grandchildren and truly wanted the best for all of us .and to not struggle like they had to.. I know they are together ...looking down on us all and are happy ! Being the oldest I have wonderf...About my father... Being the oldest I have wonderful and happy memories of what a good father he was. He was so happy to have his first grandson ! As I recall his alcoholism became apparent after you were born ...when he lost his job and had many kids to support. I am so happy you have good memories before he passed.
